She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Fluitt, age one year and three days. She was a beautiful, pure and sweet child. She was a smart child and dearly loved by all the family. We can not see why God in his wisdom saw fit to take our precious darling. Our grief is almost more than we can bear. We will live hoping and praying to meet our darling in a world where sickness, pain and sorrow are felt nor feared no more. A little grave on the hillside, where the earliest violets bloom; A little voice hushed forever, asleep in the silent tomb. A little grave on the hillside, a sad and desolate home; Hearts that are almost broken, mourning the absent one. A little grave on the hillside, where the breeze softly blow; Where the birds sweetly sing, O'er that little grave so low. A little grave on the hillside, a little one fallen asleep Death is only eternal life; Alas! Why should we weep? BY HER BROTHER (Obituary was from a newspaper clipping found among the Ezell Family Papers and Photographs. There was no identification on the clipping as to which newspaper newspaper published this, although it was probably the Jena Times. Transcribed and submitted to the U.S. Genealogical Web by Patricia E. Ezell)
