Bobby Cruse and Rev. George Ferrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Urania under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Mrs. Franklin was born in LaSalle Parish on May 17, 1933 to the union of Dooley and Bill Guillotte Harris and died Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at the Rapides Parish Medical Center in Alexandria. She was a ticket clerk for the Town of Urania and had previously worked as a dispatcher with the LaSalle Parish Sheriff's Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Urania. She was preceded in death by her husband: Huey P. Franklin, her daughter: Patricia Ray Atwell and her granddaughter: Michelle Atwell. Survivors include her son: Michael Wayne Franklin and his wife, Nancy of Olla, her daughter: Christy Franklin Smith and her husband, Randy of Kelly, her grandchildren: Toni Kitterlin, Seth Franklin, Savana Smith and Maelyn Smith, her great-grandchildren: Lannah Kitterlin and Bradley Kitterlin, and her brothers: Ikey Harris and Ralph Harris both of Urania. Pallbearers will be Gary Taylor, Forrest Cook, Wayne Corley, Leland Guin, Randy Crooks and Micky Lofton. Johnny Barnhill and Rev. Milton Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickasaw Cemetery east of Olla under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla Mr. Franklin was born in Olla on July 1, 1959 to the union of Vanner J. and Doris Hamilton Franklin and died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at his residence in Olla. He was owner and operator of Quincy's Small Engine Repair in Olla and worked as a heavy equipment operator from McCartney Oil Co in the past. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his fiancee: Judy Breithaupt and daughter, Jessica, his mother: Doris Hamilton Franklin of Olla, his son: Quincy Franklin, Jr. of Miami, Fl., his daughters: Tina Bird of Urania and Nikki Wright of Jena, his sisters: Ruby Moody, Ellen Smith and Linda Mapp all of Olla, and Juanita Bailey of Ft. Worth, Tx, his brother: Billy James Franklin of Tullos, and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Roy Smith, Jr., Justin Mapp, Michael Mapp, Jayson Lowery, Jimmy Duke and Billy Franklin, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Williamson, Pete Cruse, Ricky Ashley, Ken Allbritton and Clint Talley. Milton Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickasaw Cemetery east of Olla. Mr. Fryar was born on July 25, 1937 in Greenville, California to the union of Oliver Palmer and Alma Sophronia Franklin Fryar and died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. He was retired from the State of Louisiana, Department of Corrections as a probation officer. He owned and operated Pic- A-Pak Convienance Store. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olla and served in the Air Force Reserves. Survivors include his wife: Sharon Garner Fryar of Olla, his son: Johnny Fryar of Tullos, his daughter: Susan Fryar Allbritton of Tullos, and his grandchildren: Jonpatrick Fryar, Brandon Fryar and Ashtin Allbritton. Pallbearers are Steve Tam, Woody Fryar, William Guyon, Ronnie Farrington, Mickey Carey, Tim Garner and Huey Garner, Jr. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, Olla, Louisiana.
