Mr. Gilmore was an oilfield worker; veteran of World War II, a Royal Arch Mason, and a member of the First Baptist Church. He died at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria Sunday at 11:20 p.m. Burial was at Chalk Hill Cemetery at Zenoria under the direction of Kinner and Stevens. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Manning Gilmore of Jena; one daughter, Dr. Phyliss Claire Gilmore of Baton Rouge; one son, O.L. Gilmore of Bastrop; and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Hutchins and Mrs. Mellie Ebey, both of Harrisonburg.
