Gunn, 95, of Urania, died at 12:40 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 1998, at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. She was a homemaker and member of the Urania First Baptist Church. She was born August 24, 1902, in Caldwell Parish to the union of Fred Allen and Anne McDaniel Martin. Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Bobby Cruse officiating. Interment followed in the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include three daughters, Ernestine Compton of Westlake, Evelyn Gunn and Kathy Franklin, both of Urania; one son, Odis Gunn of Tallulah; one sister, Neva Price of Monroe; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Price, Jimmy Compton, Wayne Corley, Jim McKeithen, Jerry Corley and Jesse Powers.
