He was a retired oil field laborer and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Zenoria Baptist Church with the Revs. Hardy Beaubouef and Huey Tarpley officiating. Burial followed in Chalk Hil Cemetery of Little Creek under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include three sons, Allen Ganey of South Korea; Larry Ganey of Rosenburg, Texas, and Robert Ganey of Trout; two daughters, Mary Lou Andrews of Abilene, Texas, and Milderd Prudhomme of Jena; two brothers, Ben Ganey of Bossier City and Ira Ganey of Tullos; three sisters, Martha turnley of Trout, Lena Hall of Walkers and Gladys McDowell, 14 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Scott Ganey, Sherman McDowell, Todd Ganey, Frank Ganey, Ralph Ganey and Nick Hatten.
