Hospital, Gulfport, Mississippi. Mr. Griffith was a farmer and a veteran of World War I. He was born at White Sulphur Springs in LaSalle Parish. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in Hixson Brothers funeral home, Jena, with the Rev. C.D. Thornton officiating. Burial was in Belah cemetery near Trout with arrangements by Hixson Brothers. Survivors are four nieces, Mrs. Artilda Cockerham, Midland, Texas, Mrs. Amanda Coon, Pass Christian, Mississippi, Mrs. Johnnie Esters, White Castle, Mrs. Dorothy Prens, Bossier City, four nephews, Bill Squyres, Pittsburg, Kansas, Charles E. Golden, Claifornia, Sherman Golden, Jena, J.G. Golden, Shreveport. Pallbearers were Alfrus Tarver, Denver Gough, D.E. Joiner, Leroy Joiner, O.J. Brooks, Blanchard Smith.
