Green, 66, who died at Rochelle July 2, at 1:35 a.m., were held at the Rochelle Baptist Church July 3 at 2 p.m. with Rev. gus Garig of Georgetown officiating. Interment took place at the Pine Hill cemetery near Urania under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home. Mr. Green was born in Brookhaven, Miss. and has resided in Rochelle, where he was employed as lumberman for 2 years. He was a member of the Georgetown Baptist church. Surviving the deceased are: Mrs. Lula Green, widow; Mrs. Irene Strickland, Mrs. Ollie Dempsey of Rochelle, Mrs. Dessie Cruse of Olla, Mrs. Clara Strickland of Hebert, Mrs. Hazel Brown of opelousas; daughters; Luther Green of Springhill, Elbert Green of Rochelle, Thomas Green of Rochelle, Marvin and Otho Green of Georgetown, sons; a host of grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren.
