Obituary:  Marie Tannehill Gilliam
February 11, 2004

Services for Marie Tannehill Gilliam, age 84, of Olla will be held
at l0 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2004 from the chapel of Riser
Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Bobby Cruse and Rev. Curtis
Carroll, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chickasaw
Cemetery east of Olla under the direction of Riser Funeral Home
of Olla.

Mrs. Gilliam was born in Olla on February 14, 1919 to the union
of Judge and Florence Bass Tannehill and died Monday, February
9, 2004 at the LaSalle General Hospital in Jena.

She was a retired X-Ray technician at the Hardtner Medical Center
in Urania.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Roy S. Gilliam.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Delmar and Linda
Gilliam of Olla, her granddaughter: Kathy McCarty and her husband:
Randy of Tullos, her grandson: Michael Gilliam and his wife: Kim of
Winnfield, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Gilliam, Randy McCarty, Gary Taylor, Alton
Gilliam, Bobby Stott, Bobby McCartney, Buddy Harris and Jack Reily.

Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Tam, Jim Farrington, Wilbur Gilliam
and Jerry Barton.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday
from 8 a.m. until time of services at Riser Funeral Home,Hwy 165, Olla.
