He was born on June 27, 1934, in Olla, to the union of robert and Blanch Southern Gladen and was a member of Bellview Baptist Church near Columbia. Servicecs were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 22 from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with rev. Bobby Cruse officiating. Interment followed in the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla under direction of Riser and Son, Columbia. Date: January 12, 1967 Headline: Mr. Arthur Glaze Succumbs at Baptist Hospital Saturday Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Randle Glaze, 66, Jena were held Monday afternoon at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Pollock. Mr. Glaze died at the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria last Saturday. He was employed as a carpenter. Officiating at the services was the Rev. Johnny Lee Dayton. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Hixson Bros. Funeral Home, Jena. Graveside services were held by Rev. Dayton. Date: January 6, 1966, Thursday Headline: Jack Howard Glidden of Urania Succumbs Jack Howard Glidden, 74, of Urania, died Saturday, Jan. 1 at 8:50 p.m. in a Urania clinic. He was a member of the Methodist faith, a Mason, and a veteran of World War I. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Urania Methodist Church with the Rev. E. W. Sandel and the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Olla cemetery under the direction of the Olla Riser funeral home. Mr. Goade, the son of the late George William and Myrtle Wisemore Goade, was born in Wynne, AR on April 3, 1929. He died at his residence in Olla on December 27, 2002. He was a retired machine operator for the Union Pacific Railroad, and was a member of the Standard Baptist Church of Olla. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, and Eastern Star.
