Jena Times
IDA MANCHESTER CHAPMAN
Mrs. Ida Manchester Chapman, 86, of Jena, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, February 
17, 1989, at the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston. She was a housewife and 
member of the Free Methodist Church of Jena.
Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Free Methodist Church in Jena 
with Rev. Emmitt Belgard, Rev. Kenneth Chapman, Dr. Jimmy Chapman and Dr. 
Sidney Chapman officiating.
Burial followed in Jena Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral 
Home of Jena.
Survivors include three sons, Rev. Kenneth Chapman of Eunice, Dr. Jimmy 
Chapman of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dr. Sidney Chapman of Dallas, Texas; two 
daughters, Margie Kees and Vanessa White, both of Ruston, 14 grandchildren and 
ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dale White, Marshall E. Tyler, Christopher Stowe, Don Tanner, 
Donald E. Crandall and Gary Deckman.
