Charles Heltman and Rev. Larry Whatley officiating. Interment will be in Natchez City Cemetery. Mrs. Tarver was born September 7, 1905 in LaSalle Parish and died June 16, 2000 in Ferriday, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Ferriday, LA, school teacher, member of La. Teacher's Association, named by La. College as "Super Senior" in 1984, a member of Hanna Reynolds Missionary Class and volunteer at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Glover Tarver; parents: John and Melissa Chapman; two sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include her daughter: Edith T. Latham of Ferriday, LA; brother: Onree Chapman of Olla, LA; sisters: Evalee Arnold of Hooker, OK, Miriam Arnold of Pineville, LA and Aline Sanders of Jena, LA (left out Una Stanhope of Texhoma, OK); four grandchildren: Melady Breland, Jill Brown, Penny Moak, and Mittie Latham; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Ronald Manchester, Larry Whatley, Ben Arnold, David Arnold, Steve Sanders and James Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be John Robertson, III, John Gaughran, Frank Smith, Glenn Ratcliff and Wayne Miley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
