Services for Lawrence E. “Bud” Holmes of Olla were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Olla 
First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Blue officiating.  Burial was in 
Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son, Columbia.  Holmes, 59, died 
Sunday, March 16, 1986, in Hardtner Medical Center, Urania.  He was a World 
War II veteran.  Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Holmes of Olla; two sons, 
Larry Holmes and Danny Holmes, both of Olla; four daughters, Linda Woodruff, 
Nancy E. Holmes, Mary A. Blair, all of Urania, and Wanda Coleman of Coushatta; 
his mother, Mollie Holmes of Urania; one sister, Jean Blazier of Urania; 10 
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bud married Yvonne MCBROOM on 23 Jun 1945 in Urania LA.
