She was a retired librarian for Catahoula parish and a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrisonburg. She was a 1973 honor graduate of NLU at the age of 62. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 24, at Young Funeral Home in Jonesville with Dr. William A. Poe, Rev. Terry Townsend, and Larry tucker officiating. Interment followed in the Huffman Cemetery of Manifest under direction of Youngs Funeral Home of Jonesville. Survivors include two daughters, Beth Willis of Jena and Amy barron of Sicily Island; one son, Walter Huffman of Clayton; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Edward Creel, Alden Creel, Shelby Creel, Sidney Martin, Carroll Martin, and Alonzo Massey. Honorary pallbearers were Dixon Cole, Dale Willis, Jon Guice, Kent Creel, and John Cole.
