He was a retired gas line operator and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was born April 29, 1928, at Rogers, to the union of Willie and Lillie Corley Hanner. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 24, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Walter Lloyd and Glen Griffin officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery of Rogers under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Rosier Hanner of Rodgers; two daughters, Bobbie Hanner DuCote' of Natchez, Miss. and Donna Hanner of Jena; four sisters, Edna Hanner, Virgia Robertson, Mattie Norris and Josephine Bodie, all of Jena; one brother, Claude Hanner of Jena; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lane Hanner, Sheldon Hanner, Keith Hudnall, Kenneth Slay, Michael Nugent, and David Curgainers.
