He was a retired lumber grader. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Urania Pentecost Church with Rev. Alan Wilson, officiating. Burial followed in magnolia Cemetery near Tullos under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Hallmark of Olla; two sons, Rev. Durwood Hallmark of Lake Providence and Douglas Hallmark of Olla; two daughters, Faye Hall of Olla and Cellestine Carriere of Arnaudville; a brother, Percy Hallmark of Port Arthur, Texas; a sister, Ida Mae Spivey of Olla; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
