All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** August 28, 1952, "JENA TIMES" FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR FRED HINDMON AT BELAH YESTERDAY Funeral services were held yesterday at the Belah Methodist Church for Fred Hindmon of Trout, who was accidentally electrocuted Monday in Baton Rouge while working. Death came for the 31-year-old Halliburton Oil Well Cementing company employee as he was cleaning his vehicle with a machine found to have a faulty switch. Efforts by fellow workers to revive him were unsuccessful. Rev. Larry Walker and Rev. O. G. Cannon officiated at the funeral and arrangements were under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home. Hindmon is survived by his wife, Ruby; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hindmon of Trout; and one brother, James Hindmon of Goon Bay, Labrador. Interment was in the Belah cemetery.
