All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Frank Howard Hughes Death Mourned By Numerous Friends Funeral services for Frank Howard Hughes, 36, oil field worker, who was born in Althimer, Arkansas, but has been a resident of this section for 15 years, were held Sunday, July 27th at 2:30 p.m., at the Chickasaw Church between Olla and Summerville, with the Rev. Reed A. Swift of Olla officiating. Interment took place at the Chickasaw Cemetery under direction of Upshaw Funeral Home of Olla. The deceased died July 26th at approximately 10 a.m., at his residence near Olla, following a lingering illness. Mr. Hughes was formerly employed in Texas. He was married to Miss Ethel Lisenby, daughter of Richard Lisenby of near Olla, about 15 years ago. He is not a member of any church but is of the Free Methodist belief. He is a member of the Moose Lodge of Boger, Texas. Surviving are: Mrs. Ethel Lisenby Hughes, widow, of Olla; DeVaughn Hughes, son; Pearl Jean Hughes, daughter, Olla; Mrs. Avery McWharter, sister of Alice, Texas; and father of Arkansas, and a host of friends and other relatives.
