Hayes Final rites for Mrs. Lillie Belle Hayes, 61, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at East Jena Baptist Church. Mrs. Hayes died at her home in Jena about 10 p.m. Thursday night. Officiating at the services were Revs. K.G. Brooks and H.J. Bounds, Burial was in Hair Cemetery of Jena under arrangements by Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Shirley Virginia Hayes of Jena; four brothers, Willie Smith of Jena, Arthur Smith of Clute, Tex., Bryan Smith of Lake Jackson, Texas and John Arnold of Dry Prong; two sisters, Mrs. Francis of Jena and Mrs. Emma Fountain of Belle Chase. Pallbearers were Douglas E. Robertson, Sam Robertson, Donald Robertson, Howard E. Robertson, Lester Johnson and J.M. Cooper.
