Last Rites Held for Harrisonburg Man Last Friday - Funeral services for Louis 
Franklin Hughes were held at Harrisonburg's Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. 
October 16.  The Rev. Virgile Culpepper administered last rites.

Mr. Hughes died of cancer in the Jonesville clinic at 2:00 p.m. October 15, 
after a month's illness.  He was born in Harrisonburg June 13, 1881.

Mrs. Laura Whatley, a cousin of Jena, was listed as a survivor.  Internment 
was in the Harrisonburg cemetery, under the direction of Kinner and Stevens 
Funeral Home of Jena.

E. Hanks)
