Date: January 18, 1989, Wednesday Headline: Millard Hansford Hailey Millard Hansford Hailey, 89, of Trout, died at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 1988, at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. He was retired from the Louisiana Forestry Commission. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena with Revs. S. B. Spinks and Rev. Paul Parker officiating. Burial followed in Belah Cemetery of Trout under direction of Hixson Brothers of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Ella Tarver Hailey of Trout; a son, Otha Hailey of Pineville; a daughter, Neva Foley of Trout; eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Date: July 5, 2000, Page 12A Headline: Stacy Hall Stacy Hall, 28, of Natchez, Mississippi, died Friday, June 23, 2000, in Covington. He was an insect research entomoligist, a member of Pi Kapps Alpha Fraternity, the American Association of Entomologist, an avid hunter and fisherman. He was born Feb. 25, 1972, to the union of Dr. and Mrs. Allen Jerold Hall. Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 26, at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. Alfred Camp officiating. Burial followed in the Natchez City Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Laird Funeral Home, Natchez. Survivors include his wife, Brandy Tyler Hall of Natchez; his father, Alton J. Date: October 19, 1988, Wednesday Headline: Dr. Louis F. Hamilton Dr. Louis F. Hamilton, 81, a native of LaSalle Parish and a resident of LaPlace, died Wednesday, September 7, 1988, at River Parish Hospital in LaPlace. Dr. Hamilton was the son of the late Dr. Fred Hamilton of Jena. Dr. Louis Hamilton settled in Artesia, New Mexico, as its first specialized surgeon shortly after World War II, 1945-46. He had been a resident of LaPlace for the past 13years. Services were held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace. Burial followed at St. John Memorial Garden Cemetery in LaPlace. Survivors include his wife, Alice of LaPlace; a son, Louis F. Hamilton Jr. of Metairie; a daughter, Nancy H. Maxine was fatally burned when she fell in a tub of hot water at her parent's home about 6:30 a. m., October 13. She was a 1971 graduate of Jena High School and employed at Wal-Mart for numerous years, where she retired as a Department Manager following her illness. Services were held at 1 p.m., on Sunday, November 16, 2002, at the New Evergreen Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Mathis officiating. Interment followed in the Webster Cemetery of Good Pine under direction of Gayden Funeral Home of Jena.
