Jeter, 77, of Bossier City, died Thursday, February 19, 1998 in Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. She was a retired nurse. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Crawford Coon officiating. Interment followed in the Tidwell Cemetery in Sharptown Community under direction of Hixson Brothers Inc., of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Neal and Bonnie Husser, both of Bossier City; one sister, Dessie Burnum of Port Allen; one brother, Leland Nichols of Missouri; one granddaughter and one great-grandson. Pallbearers were L. C. Coon, Charles Mills, Doyle Jeter, Lester Beemon, Keith Husser and Scott Husser. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, February 25, 1998)
