Johnson, 62, of Jena, died Monday, February 9, 1998, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. He was a retired forklift driver for International Paper and a member and usher at the Trout Creek Baptist Church. He was a long time resident of the Jena area. Services were held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Trout Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Booze officiating. Interment followed in the Webster Cemetery of Good Pine under direction of Gayden Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Rita Johnson of Jena; four daughters, Angela R. Barn and Martha Mays, both of Jonesville and Dorothy Hardwell and Octavia Harrison, both of Jena; two sons, Leonard Polk of Florance, Ariz. and John B. holly of Jena; one sister, Wydena Johnson of Jena; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
