Jolly, 72, of Deville, died Saturday, December 27, 1997, in Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was a member of Martha's Chapel Free Methodist Church and was a boat captain for Standard Dredging Company for 20 years. He was also a self employed plumber for 25 years. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, in Martha's Chapel with the Revs. James Jolly, Jerry Poston and Arvie Jolly officiating. Interment followed in Martha's Chapel Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Jolly of Deville; one son, Steve Jolly of Gardner; one daughter, Linda Wages of Shreveport; one step-son, Percy Lee Aymond of Deville; three step-daughters, Delia Ann Aymond of Austin, Texas, Mary Aymond of Deville and Veronica Sue Ryder of Birmingham, Ala.; three brothers, Rev. James Jolly and Rev. Arvie Jolly, both of Deville and George Jolly of Pineville; four sisters, Lou Ann Ryder and Eva Belgard, both of Pineville and Lois Poston of Walker and Evie Allen of Jena; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
