He was a native of Mississippi and an engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, in Beech Creek Cemetery west of Tullos with Rev. E.R. Johnson officiating. Interment was under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Survivors include two sons, Watson Burns James of Winnfield and Larry Mitchell James of jamesville, Wis.; two sisters, Jimmy Mae Watson of Muscal Sholes, Ala., and Betty Lou James of Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren.
