The two were evidently engaged in a quarrel and possibly a squabble which ended in the death of the Jackson woman. Officers from the local Sheriff's Department arrived upon the scene shortly after the killing and immediately arrested Pierce Graham, bring him to the parish jail where he has since been confined. Dr. J. A. Gaharan, LaSalle Parish Coroner, of Olla, and a coroners' Jury viewed the body Saturday night and at 10 o'clock Sunday morning returned a verdict of justifiable homicide. A brother of Mary Jackson swore out a warrant for Graham early Monday morning.
