C. Jernigan residence at Walters, was buried Tuesday afternoon in Jena cemetery following rites held at Mt. Herman Baptist church of Walters at 3 p.m. The Revs. Oscar Bradford and Harvey McClure conducted the final rites, with arrangements under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals, Jena. Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 29, 1859 and was the wife of the late Jesse Johnson whom she married in 1875. Mr. Johnson died in January of 1935. To their marriage were born five children, two daughters of whom survive. In addition to the two daughters, Mrs. I. J. Clark and Mrs. H. C. Jernigan, both of Walters, Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughter-nn-laws, Mrs. W. B. Johnson and Mrs. J. H. Johnson, both of Walters, 27 grandchildren, 60 great- grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, making a total of 101 direct descendants, not including a host of other relatives and friends. The final rites were held at Mt. Herman Baptist church which she joined more than half a century ago, having been baptized in 1887.
