Sallie Jewel Joy

Sallie Jewel Joy, 86, of Jena, died at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 1990, at the
LaSalle General Hospital of Jena.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the First United
Pentecostal Church in Jena with the Revs. Crawford Coon and Preston Holder,
oficiating.

Interment followed at Pine Grove Cemetery near Rhinehart under direction of
Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena.

Survivors include two sons, Dave Joy of Rhinehart and Tommy Joy of Jonesville;
three daughters, Mary Bates and Hazel Heitman, both of Galveston, Texas and
Laverne Taylor of Jena; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and five
great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Wesley Taylor, David Bates, Jay Joy, Robert Joy, Robert Hava
and Frankie Joy.
