Obituary of Betty Fussell Johnson
December 7, 2003

Services for Betty Fussell Johnson, age 55, of Tullos will be held
at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2003 from the chapel of Riser Funeral
Home in OLLA with Rev. James Simons and Rev. Dennis Fontenot officiating.
Interment will follow in the Beech Creek Cemetery near Winnfield.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Urania on May 3, 1948 to the union of
Elmer D. and Mary Etta Mills Fussell and died Wednesday, December
3, 2003 in New Orleans.

She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother.  She was
preceded in death by her husband: Willie Joe Johnson, her daughter:
Marietta "Babs" Johnson, her father: Elmer D. Fussell and her brother:
Elmer Fussell, Jr..

Survivors include her mother: Marietta Murphy of Urania, her daughters:
Lorietta Johnson and Sarah Inez Johnson both of Tullos, her brothers:
Richard S. Fussell of Holum, James P. Fussell of Deville, Leon B. Fussell
and Benny L. Fussell both of Urania, her sisters: Linda F. Nasello of
Alexandria and Joan H. McHenry of Olla, and her grandchildren; Savvannah
Johnson, Sean Sharp, William Johnson and Harley Johnson.

Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Ricky Fussell, James Patrick Fussell,
Timothy Barfield, Shannon Sharp, David Allen, Richard McDaniel and
Tom McHenry.

Obituary of  Minnie "Sissy" Cotten Jones
March 24, 2004

Services for Minnie "Sissy" Cotten Jones, 56, of Olla will be
held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2004 from the chapel
of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Rodney Begnaud and
Rev. Curtis Carroll officiating.  Interment will follow in the Olla
Cemetery in Olla.

Mrs. Jones was born in LaSalle Parish on October 26, 1947
to the union of John Wesley and Lavurle Gough Cotten and
died Monday, March 22, 2004 at her residence in Olla.

She was a retired lunchroom supervisor with the Jena Middle School.

Survivors include her husband: R.B. Jones, Sr. of Olla, her
sons: Robert Michael Steen, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Jon
Chance Steen of Cordova, Tn., her daughter: Jana Michelle
Poole of Jena, her step-sons: Bobby Jones and Brent Jones
both of Olla, her step-daughters: Sherry McDaniel of Urania
and Trudie Connor of Vidor, Texas, her brother: Eddie Cotten
of Jena, her sister: Mary Nell Cotten of Jena, and five grandchildren:
Joshua Collins, Bryce Evans, Makayla Evans, Bristen Evans and Abbie
McDade.

Pallbearers will be Paul Cotten, Gerald Hendrix, Pat McDougald,
Brent Jones, Ronnie Russell and Meredith Poole.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Hennigan, Paul Jones,
Ikey Harris, Michael Sterling and Frank Aycock.
