KEENE, Lilly Smith

 Mrs. Lilly Smith Keene, 56, of Jena, died in New Orleans last Tuesday, 
January 8, 1974.

 Funeral services were held last Thursday at the East Jena Baptist Church
with Revs. Mickey Bounds and John Ed Snell, officiating.

 Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery of Jena with arrangements by Hixson
Brothers Inc., of Jena.

 Survivors include four brothers, Earl H. Smith and Woodrow W. Smith, both of
Jena, James A. Smith, Jr. of Bellechase and Perry R. Smith of Houston, Texas;
two sisters, Mrs. Biela Boddie and Mrs. Bertha Creed, both of Jena; and her
mother Mrs. Mattie Doughty of Jena.
