He was a 1945 graduate of Trout-Goodpine High School and was retired from and a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local No. 198. He was a member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church. Services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Steve Craft officiating. Burial followed in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Hazel C. King of Baker; three daughters, Gloria Jean King Browne, Patricia Grafffeo and Kimberly Glaviana; one son, Howard Jason King; three sisters, Edna Stanley, Audrey Jo Speights, and Edith Gregory; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Danny Welch, Clyde Glaviana, Jr., Richard Browne, Evan Browne, Ronald Lejeune, John Lejeune, Anothy Losavio, Sr., and Howard Jason King.
