He was a member of Standard Baptist Church. Services were held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Standard Baptist Church of Olla, with Revs. James Simmons and E. D. Dearmon officiating. Burial followed at New Union Cemetery near Tullos under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah Annie Kinney of Olla; a son, Clarence Deeke Kinney of Olla; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Kees of Vinton, Ms., Joyce McCarty of Livingston, Texas and Mrs. Earnestine Valderez of Goodrich, Texas; two brothers, J. C. Kinney of Fortuna, Calif. And Acey Kinney of Anaheim, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Anne Miller of Eureka, Calif.; Mrs. Rena Callender of Winston, Ore.; Mrs. Louise Marzette of Eureka, Calif. And Mrs. Frances Nix of Alberta, Ala.; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
