Services were held at 2:00 Saturday at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Glen Lowery, officiating. Burial followed in Hewitt Cemetery of Mangham under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. Survivors include three sons, Thomas King of Columbia, Clay King and Sonny Payne, both of Houston, Texas; four daughter, Mary Jordan of Gonzales, Opal Clarks of Columbia, Betty Galboury of Houston and Sandra Darrow of Mesa, Arizona; six brothers, Vernon King of Arcadia, Johnny King of Eros, Charles King of Jonesboro, David King of Olla, Dean King of South Carolina and R. C. Standard of Imberness, Miss.; seven sisters, Laura Mae Kelly of Monroe, Nannie Sue Henning of Chatham, Virgie Goodwin of Rayville, Rennie Noker of New York, Lynn Guidry of Florida, Maurice Rodgers of Belzoni, Miss. And Frances Miller of Imberness, Miss.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Leon Stephens, Henry Stephens Jr., Chuck King, Huey Stephens, Jessie Ramsey and Wesley Jordan.
