She was a House wife. Services for Mrs. Kennon were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 10,1990, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena, with the revs. Bill Robertson and S.B. Spinks officiating. Burial was in the Belah Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Mrs. Kennon is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cloteal Townsend of Tibodeaux; and Mrs. Clydell Freeman of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Walker and Mrs. Audie Dayton, both of Trout; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Ronald Benoit, Darrell Sanford, Charles Spinks, Phinn Kennon, James Gulde and Roger Freeman.
