All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Funeral Services For Wiley Knapp Held March 16th Funeral services for Wiley Knapp, 74 year old planter of Jena route one, who died March 14 at 4:30 p.m. at the Baptist hospital in Alexandria, were held March 16 at 3 p.m. at Belah church with Rev. Lee Brooks of Rhinehart officiating. Interment took place at the Belah cemetery near Jena, under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home. Deceased was born in Catahoula parish but spent most of his 74 years in LaSalle. He is survived by his widow, the former Ophella Meeks; four sons, William R. Knapp of San Francisco, Calif., Alfred Knapp of Jena, Lloyd Knapp of Trout, and Roy Knapp of Shreveport; seven daughters, Mrs. Eunice Burnum, Mrs. Lena Jones, and Mrs. Myrtis Taylor of Jena, Mrs. Jewel Burnum and Mrs. Mae Heard of Shreveport, and Mrs. Lula Breland of Winnsboro; one step-son, Van Dykes of Waskon, Texas. Pall bearers were; Houston Russell, Marion Taylor, Steve Crooks, Anthony Windham, Louis Windham, Ed Price.
