Services were held Tuesday, May 29th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena with Rev. Charles E. Moore, officiating. Burial followed at Belah Cemetery of near Trout under direction of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include her husband, Andrew J. Kious of Jena; one daughter, Mrs. Elwood Carlson of Angleton, Texas; one step-brother, Charles Holmes of Vidalia; her step-mother, Mrs. Thelma Walker of Bastrop; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jess Bethard, Stanley Hayes, Kenneth Boyd, Alfes Tarver, Nathan Clark and Leslie Fallin Sr. Honorary pallbearers were L.D. (Buck) Bethard, Red Powell, Harvey Roark and Firon Griffin.
