He worked as a pipe fitter. Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Funeral Home of Jena, with the Revs. Doyle Stockman and Bill Cotton officiating. Survivors include two sons, G.R. Laffoon of Georgetown and H.F. Laffoon of Harrisonburg; three daughters, Vermell Whitley of Lake Jackson, Texas, Sammie Leamasel of Brazoria, Texas and Dovie Millsap of Iola, Texas; one sister, Fannie Tilley McDuffie of Northphlet, Arkansas; 19 grandchidlren; 33 great- grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were George H. Laffoon, Jimmy Mansen, Donald Wayne Mansen, Paul Whitley, Earl Millsap, Jr. and Kevin Tumlinson.
