He was a farmer and a member of the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church. He was also a World War II veteran from the U.S. Army. Services were to be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Albert Vickers, rev. John Lee Dayton and Rev. Jack Knapp officiating. Burial followed at the Whatley/LaCroix Cemetery of White Sulphur Springs. Survivors include three brother, Cage LaCroix of Searcy, Lonnie LaCroix of Tullos and Wallace LaCroix of Westerly, Rhode Island; one sister, Alma Lucille Meyers of Wildsville and nephews.
