Mrs. Lincecum was born on May 15, 1918 in Prospect, La. and died Monday, April 28, 2003 at the LaSalle Nursing Center in Jena. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lincecum Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Genia Lester Chandler, her husband: John Elmore Lincecum and her daughter: Mary Ann Lincecum. Survivors include her sons: Jimmy E. Date: March 20, 1969, Thursday Headline: Final Rites Held for Grandson Local Couple Funeral services for Frank Little, 16, of Longville, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Longville Baptist Church with the Rev. Wiley Reid officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jack Tanner. Graveside services were held near Jena at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Interment was under arrangement by Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. The youth died Monday in the Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles after a long illness. Surviving are his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Perry Little; two brothers, Bob and John Little; one sister, Nan Little, all of Longville; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Taylor of Jena and Mrs. Addie Little of Rhinehart; and his great-grandmother, Mrs. Al Taylor of Jena. Mr. Lizana was born May 12, 1931 to the union of Ernest Justin and Mary Pierson Lizana in Pass Christian, Mississippi. He graduated from Pass Christian High School and attended Perkinston Junior College before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Drill Sgt. The he returned to Baton Rouge and graduated from LSU with a degree in forestry. In 1957 he moved to Tullos and met Marie Boyd of Jena. They married and were inseparable for 48 years. He worked for Treemont Lumber Company, Crown Zellerbach and Cavenham Forestry as District Forester before retiring and then worked as a Forestry Consultant. He loved and respected the forest. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Justin and Mary Lizana and his older brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Ola Lizana. He is survived by his wife, Marie "Rea" Boyd Lizana of Tullos; two daughters, Kim and husband Willie Draughn of Monroe and Shawna and husband Scott Cockerham of Tullos; three grandsons, Matthew and Justin Draughn of Monroe and Patrick Cockerham of Tullos; one granddaughter, Hailey Brooke Cockerham of Tullos; one brother, Albert "Bootsie" and wife Vondie Lizana of Pass Christian, Mississippi; and many friends and other family members who loved him very much. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the Tullos Baptist Church where he was a faithful member for many years. Date: July 12, 2000, Wednesday Headline: Area Deaths – Nancy Clegg Lytle Nancy Clegg Lytle, 78, of Springhill, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at her residence in Monroe. She was a graduate of Siloam Springs High School in 1938 and from Southern Methodist University in 1942. She performed graduate work at Louisiana State University in 1945-1946. Nancy and Hilton Lytle of Jena married on August 9, 1946, and shortly afterward moved to Texas where Hilton completed his Masters' Degree at Texas A&M. They lived in several places across the country before moving to Monroe where they have been the past 38 years. She was a very enthusiastic watercolor artist and homemaker and was a charter member of the Monroe Art Association. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. David Barber officiating. Interment followed at Holly Memorial Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral home of Jena.
