L. C. "Joby" McBroom, 82, of Olla, died Wednesday, March 20, 2005, in the 
Natchitoches Parish Hospital in Natchitoches. He was born July 28, 1922. 
Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 31, at the Olla 
Cemetery in Olla with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment followed in 
the Olla Cemetery under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria. He 
was preceded in death by his wife, Corinne McBroom and his mother, Evie 
McBroom. Survivors includes his sons, Charles McBroom of Tullos, Randy McBroom 
of Sikes and Carey L. McBroom of Urania; daughters, Delores Wiley of Olla, and 
Patricia Bordelon of Olla; sister, Yvonne Holmes of Olla; 11 grandchildren and 
19 great-grandchildren.
