McLendon, 87, of Goodpine, died Friday, January 2, 1998, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church. She was born April 18, 1910 at Nebo to the union of Thomas Green and Jeanette Lacey Bradford. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home with Revs. Rick Feazell and Bill Boulton officiating. Interment followed in the Squires Cemetery near Summerville under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Faye Manchester of Bogalousa and Melvalene Myers of Lake Providence; one brother Dave Bradford of Alexandria; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Cleveland Poole, Cecil Duncan, Will Powell, Joe Bacle, Slim Stapleton and Adam Powell. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, January 7, 1998)
