She was a homemaker and a member of Ruby Chapter No.72, Order of the Eastern Star, Jena. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at First Baptist Church of Jena with the Revs. Bo Owens and W.A. Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery of Jena under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include one daughter, Cordialea Athena of Carson City, Nev.; two sons, Bryant K. Hester and Tyson Hester, both of Jena; two sisters, Alta Brook of San Angelo, Tx., and Edna Palmer of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Alton Doughty of New Ganey, Tx.; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bruce Hester, Ronnie Jorstead, W.B. McCartney, Nathan Poole, Robert Wood and Dixie Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy "Doc" Eubanks and Katina Hester.
