R. M. Doughty of Tullos officiating. Interment took place at the Pine Grove Cemetery near Rhinehart under the direction of Upshaw Funeral Home of Jena. The deceased was a lifelong resident of Catahoula parish and was a member of the Wallace Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are : husband, W. M. Morris; nine daughters, Mrs. Budrow Bass and Mrs. Alton Smith of Jonesville, Mrs. H. P. Wheeler, Jr., of Amarilla, Texas, Mrs. David Neal, Alice Rose, Betty, Marjorie, Lucy Mae and Bonnie Ray Morris, all of Wallace Ridge; two sons, Buster and Wince Morris of Wallace Ridge; one sister, Mrs. Betty Whatley of Jena; eight brothers, Frank Edwards of Newellton, Manuel of Coushatta, Coy and Cam of Jonesville, Bruce, Hardy and Eunie of Jena and Anderson Edwards of Monroe. Pallbearers were Dick Bass, LeRoy Morris, Quincey Dosher, Tom Bass and Roy Morris. (**The first name on the list of pallbearers was unreadable.)
