BERTHA McCOY Bertha departed this life, April 13, 1926. She was taken sick with pneumonia at the home of her father, Mr. V. Thomas, of Summerville, and afterseveral weeks of severe suffering she was taken to the hospital in Shreveport, where she underwent an operation for abcess of the lungs, and was so weak that she could not live over it. Bertha was married to Mr. McCoy about five months before she died. She was 18 years of age. Her life was very short but the latter weeks of her life were full of prayer. She leaves testimony that she had no doubt but that she would be saved and will meet her Savior in peace.
