Elry B. McGuffee

Elry B. McGuffee, 88, of Aimwell, died Thursday, December 28, 1989, at the
LaSalle General Hospital of Jena.

He was a member of the New Ouchita Baptist Church in Enterprise, retired from
International Paper Company and a retired farmer.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at New Ouchita Baptist
Church of Enterprise with Rev. Jack Crews, officiating.

Burial followed in Manning Cemetery near Aimwell under direction of Riser and
Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Survivors include two sons, Richard E. McGuffee of Aimwell and Joe K. McGuffee
of Enterprise; a brother, J. Y. McGuffee of Harrisonburg; five grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Stevie McGuffee, R. E. McGuffee, Cornelious McGuffee, Henry
McGuffee, Glynn McGuffee and Alton Chapman.

Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the New Ouchita Baptist Church.
