He was an auto mechanic and member of the Jehovah's Witnesses and native of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 4, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena, with Brother James Tooke, officiating. Burial followed at Blue Branch Cemetry of Pitkin with a 2 p.m. graveside service conducted by Brother Jerry Lemons. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Maddox of Olla; two sons, Larry Maddox of Port Neches, Texas and Roger Maddox of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Annie Manuel of Lake Charles and Grace Ingle of Spurger, Texas, and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Roger maddox, John Love, Brian Barber, Edwin D. Ingles, Cecil Dalton and Shannon Lemons.
