Masoner, 60, of Olla, died at 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 1990 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. He was employed in the off-shore oilfield business, a member of Olla First Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, at Olla First Baptist Church with the Revs. Glenn Wagnon and Scotty McDowell, officiating. Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Faye Beth Masoner of Olla; a step-son, Huey P. Randall Jr. of Urania; a brother, Charles Masoner of Columbia; two sisters, Lola Mae DuBose of Biloxi, Miss. and Louise Turner of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Masoner, Johnny Masoner, Douglas Hallmark, Mike Oram, W.L. Beavers and C.C. Garris.
