Maxwell, 84, of Bunkie and a native of Olla, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 1990, at Bunkie General Hospital. He was retired from Columbia Carbon Plant which was later named City Service Columbia Plant, Eola, after 41 years of service. He was a member of David Haas Memorial Methodist Church and the Bunkie Masonic Lodge No. 326. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 13, in David Haas Memorial Methodist Church in Bunkie with the Revs. Charles Floyd and Lary O'Dell, officiating. Burial followed at Pythain Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Maxwell of Bunkie; one brother, Jimmie Maxwell of Jennings; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
