Services for Carlee Winston Manchester, 53, of Monroe will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 1994 at the Family Worship Center in West Monroe with Pastor Michael D. O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Free Methodist Church Cemetery near Jena, La. Under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Mr. Manchester passed to eternal life with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 1994, at his residence, in the presence of the bride of his youth, Vicky, their son, Jim, and loved ones. Mr. Manchester was a member and served as an Elder of the Family Worship Center in West Monroe. He attended and graduated from Jena High School, Jena, LA; Tyler Junior College, Tyler, TX and Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, TX. He served in the Army National Guard and was formerly a manager of Monroe Truck Center and truck salesman at Scott Truck and Tractor Co. In Monroe. Survivors include his wife, Vicky Lynn George Manchester of Monroe; his son, James Winston Manchester of Monroe; grandson, Kawika P. Manchester; brothers, Ray Manchester of Houston, TX, presently Nigeria, James Ronald Manchester of Nacogdoches, TX, Allen Donald Manchester of Vidalia, LA; sister, Mrs. Alfred "Joan" Hamby of West Monroe, LA. Pallbearers will be Dewain Deaton, J. R. Dumas, Ray Edwards, Jimmy Kent, Lonnie McCurry Sr., Eddie Simons, Terry Taylor, and Dr. James E. Townsend.
