He was a retired insurance salesman. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Antioch Free Methodist Church with Revs. David Lukens and Wade Robinson, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery near Summerville under direction of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Onesia Manchester of Jena; four sons, Donald Manchester of Vidalia, Raymond Manchester of Houston, Texas, Ronald Manchester of Nacogdoches, Texas and Carlee Manchester of Monroe; one daughter, JoAnne Hamby of West Monroe; a step-daughter, Cordialea Athna of Carson City, Nevada; three step-sons, Colonel Hester of Sacremento, Calif., B.K. Hester and Tyson Hester, both of Kingwood, Texas; a sister Ida Chapman of Ruston; a brother, W.A. Manchester of New Hebron, Ms., 11 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jim Manchester, Mark Manchester, Ron Manchester, Van Manchester, Ray Hamby, Craig Hamby, Bruce Hester and Tyson Hester.
