She was a homemaker and a member of Pinehill Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 138 of Urania. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Pinehill Baptist Church with the Revs. B.G. Dyess and Edward K. Smith, officiating. Interment followed in Pinehill Cemetery of Urania under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Singleton of Ball, Oreatice Morstz of Pineville and Mary Bennett of Montrose, Colo.; two sons, H.A. (Bub) McBroom and W.H. (Billy) McBroom, both of Urania; 12 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Glen Menefee, Paul Yost, James Ray Boyd, Bobby Blackwell, John Guin and Thomas Crane.
